I think cemeteries always make great artists dates. I like to look up the names and find the stories, some of them tragic, some of the joyous.
This week I spent several hours exploring the London Necropolis, and its many tree lined avenues. It has some of the biggest trees I have seen In England. I walked for 4.5 miles and I didn’t cover a fraction of it. In 3 hours I only saw 2 other people.
I found the resting place of a lost artist, with ‘sculptor’ carved on their grave, but no record of their work on Google. I Wondered about the person who chose to have just ‘baggy’ written on their grave.
